Expense Policy

Background

  • We plan to revisit our expense policy at least once a year to ensure spending contributes to the company’s goals. All perks and policies are subject to change at any time.
  • Except where otherwise noted, all reimbursement dollar amounts presented are denominated in the local currency where you reside.
  • All stipends and expenses are processed through Rippling.

Perk Spend Principles

We designed our perk stipends for 2026 to be in line with our company principles:

  • Extreme simplicity - allow the team to do their best work without distractions, and with low administrative effort.
  • Disciplined growth - we are building a large, profitable, and independent company with financial discipline.
  • Caring deeply - extreme care for the wellbeing of each individual at the company.

Stipends

Learning

There is a stipend you can utilize for learning expenses. This bucket is the 'All You Can Read' reimbursements for books that are work adjacent. Work adjacent encompasses a broad range of activities, such as creative pursuits or other non-traditional forms of contribution to learning and emphasizes the value of various activities that contribute to personal and societal well-being, even if they don't conform to traditional notions of a formal job or career.

For all other learning expenses, please discuss with and get approval from your manager.

Exclusions

  • Tools that are essential to your role (eg LinkedIn Recruiter) are excluded from stipends. These should be discussed with your manager and purchased through our purchasing process via a Rippling card (i.e. not expensed as a Perk/Stipend).
  • We will continue to reimburse new hires for setting up their office equipment, including a laptop which will be provided by the company.
  • The company will provide all relevant hardware and software that you need to perform your role, including company AI accounts through Gemini (and others upon request)
